What’s the big event coming to Chandler this September?
Goldrush 2026 returns to Rawhide Western Town in Chandler on Friday, September 11 and Saturday, September 12, 2026. Arizona’s flagship fall dance music festival is themed “Midnight Riders” this year, and it’s headlined by Deadmau5, Martin Garrix, Alesso, and GRiZ. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. both nights, the music runs to a 2:00 a.m. curfew, and it’s 18 and over.

If you live anywhere near the Chandler and Ahwatukee side of the Valley, you already know the drill. One weekend every September, the desert just south of the 202 turns into a small city of light and bass. This year it lands on September 11 and 12.
Goldrush is put on by Relentless Beats, the Phoenix promoter that’s been booking dance shows in Arizona since 1996, and it takes over Rawhide Western Town at 5700 W. North Loop Road in Chandler. Tickets are on sale now and start around $117 through Tixr, per the official Goldrush 2026 event page.

The lineup, the logistics, and what to expect
Four headliners anchor the two nights: Deadmau5, Martin Garrix, Alesso, and GRiZ. Under them sits a 28-name supporting bill that includes Green Velvet, Sullivan King, Valentino Khan, AC Slater, Ray Volpe, MitiS, Surf Mesa, Deathpact, Boogie T, Delta Heavy, and yes, DJ Pauly D. Five Arizona artists round out the bill, which is one of the things I genuinely like about this festival. Relentless Beats always saves real stage time for local acts. Phoenix New Times broke down the full 2026 lineup when it dropped.
A few practical things worth knowing before you buy:
- It’s 18 and over, and you’ll need ID at the gate.
- Doors are at 6:00 p.m. both nights, with a 2:00 a.m. curfew.
- Rawhide runs multiple outdoor stages, and the Western Town backdrop is a big part of the charm.
- There are official afterparties at the Rawhide Event Center on the nights of September 12 and 13 if you’re not ready to call it.
Mid-September evenings out here are still warm, so plan on being outside for six or seven hours and hydrate accordingly. Rideshare pickup at Rawhide gets busy at curfew, so decide your exit plan before you go in. The festival is also listed on the Visit Phoenix events calendar if you want the tourism-office version.
Also on the Valley calendar this September
If dance music isn’t your thing, the other big date right now is up the road in Tempe. Arizona State opens the 2026 season at home against Morgan State on Saturday, September 5 at 7:00 p.m. at Mountain America Stadium, per the official Sun Devils schedule. It’s both the season opener and the home opener, it’s presented by Mayo Clinic, and it streams on ESPN+. Tailgating opens well before kickoff, and if you’ve never done a Mill Avenue Saturday in early September, consider this your excuse.
One more to put on your radar: Fall Arizona Restaurant Week is on the way, and the Arizona Restaurant Association says participating restaurants and menus will be posted no later than September 1. Worth bookmarking if you like a prix-fixe reason to try somewhere new.

Why any of this matters if you’re house hunting
I don’t write these posts to sell you anything. I write them because the question I get most from people moving to the Valley isn’t about square footage. It’s “what’s actually around?”
Chandler having a festival this size in its backyard, and Tempe having a Big 12 stadium you can walk to from Mill Avenue, is a real part of that answer. Amenities like these are one of the quieter reasons the East Valley keeps pulling people in. If you’re curious what it’s actually like to live near any of it, that’s my world. Come work with me and I’ll tell you the unglamorous parts too.
