What’s new in Arcadia this week?
PRESS Coffee is opening a new Camelview cafe at 5090 N. 40th St. in Arcadia, and the grand opening lands the weekend of Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13, 2026. It’s the Phoenix-based roaster’s 21st Valley location, with 1,545 square feet, seating for 30 inside, a shaded patio, and the full PRESS food and drink menu.

If you’ve driven 40th Street between Camelback and Indian School lately, you’ve watched that corridor quietly fill in. Offices, restaurants, and a steady stream of people who’d rather not drive to Old Town for a decent flat white. Arcadia is about to get one more reason to stay put.
PRESS Coffee confirmed it’s opening a Camelview cafe inside the 5090 office building on 40th Street, and the company has put a real date on it. According to the Arizona Digital Free Press, the cafe celebrates its grand opening with complimentary treats, giveaways, and other activities on Saturday and Sunday, September 12 and 13. Phoenix New Times reported the same September 12 opening in its roundup of new Valley coffee shops, calling it the chain’s 21st cafe in the metro.
What you’ll find inside the Camelview cafe
This isn’t a kiosk. The space runs 1,545 square feet with seating for 30 guests indoors, plus a shaded outdoor patio with additional seating. PRESS is bringing its full beverage lineup: drip coffee, cold brew, nitro cold brew, hot and iced teas, and the specialty drinks the brand is known for.
Food matters here too, and it’s more than a pastry case. Expect breakfast sandwiches, burritos, empanadas, pastries, sandwiches, and grab-and-go items. The design follows the PRESS modern-industrial look, with wood finishes, distinct seating areas, and laptop-friendly workspaces built in on purpose.
“We are very excited to be located in such a beautiful building,” co-owner Jason Kyle told the Arizona Digital Free Press. “It is not only a great spot for tenants to have a casual meeting or get a quick afternoon coffee but is the perfect neighborhood coffee shop for the residents in the area.”
That second half is the part locals should notice. PRESS is partnering with Southwest Value Partners, the office building’s owner, but the cafe is open to the neighborhood, not just to badge holders. If you live in Arcadia, this is your coffee shop as much as anyone’s.
Why Arcadia keeps landing new coffee
PRESS has been roasting in Phoenix since 2008. Before Camelview, the company operated 20 cafes across Scottsdale, Tempe, Phoenix, Gilbert, and Chandler, including seven inside Sprouts Farmers Market stores and a recent opening at the Sprouts headquarters campus in north Phoenix. The beans get roasted daily at the company’s Phoenix facility, and PRESS sources from growing regions worldwide, including its own farm in Panama’s Volcan Valley.
Camelview isn’t happening in a vacuum, either. Phoenix New Times counted a whole class of new coffee shops pouring into the Valley this summer, from Palestinian coffee on Bell Road to a film-club cafe west of downtown. Coffee is the amenity developers reach for first when they want a building to feel like part of a neighborhood, and the 40th Street corridor has been building toward exactly that.
One more thing worth putting on your calendar while you’re at it: Fall Arizona Restaurant Week is coming, and the Arizona Restaurant Association says participating restaurants and prix-fixe menus will be announced no later than September 1, 2026, on the official site. If you like planning your dining calendar in advance, that’s your cue to bookmark it.

Mark September 12 and 13. Grand opening weekends at PRESS tend to mean free samples, giveaways, and a line, so go early on Saturday if you want a seat on the patio, or roll in Sunday afternoon when the rush has thinned out. Address is 5090 N. 40th St., just off the Camelback corridor and an easy detour from anywhere in Arcadia, Biltmore, or east Phoenix.
